Travis has been involved in the construction business since the early 1980’s on the western slope of Colorado and the Uintah basin in Utah. During his high school years he broke out in the oilfield working for his father who, by example, taught his boys how to drive truck and haul loads of all sorts. After high school he did a tour in the United States Marine Corps. After the service he went back to what he enjoyed, construction. He learned carpentry work in Utah building homes with the guys he rodeoed with. Cement flat work and walls, framing, roofing and finishing houses in the Park City area before he moved back to the Uintah Basin to start a construction business with his father. During this time he also became a utilities inspector on a number of pipeline projects utilizing his skills with high explosives doing controlled shots on hard rock ditches in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Arkansas. While working for Anadarko as a QC/CCWI in the Natural Buttes field he met Kyle Bentley who was welding on one of the facilities crews. Eventually Kyle gave Travis a shot in 2018 to help with his construction crews and the business development side of his company, Bentley Welding in Greeley CO.

He has been married to his wife for 34 years, father to four and grandfather to seven.
